Reloom

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 25 August 2026

The full policy that ships inside the app, word for word.

Reloom is a posture and mobility app with a free tier and an optional subscription, Reloom Premium. It has no accounts and no server of its own. Everything you enter and everything you complete stays on your device.

This policy explains, in plain language, what the app does and does not do with information.

The short version

  • Reloom has no login, and it never asks for your email address or phone number. The one optional first name it offers, on the last setup screen, is stored on your device and used only to greet you.
  • Your onboarding answers, your plan, your sessions, your streak and your notes are stored only on this device.
  • Nothing you type into Reloom is uploaded to us or to anyone else.
  • The app uses three Google Firebase services — Analytics, Crashlytics and Remote Config — which collect anonymous, aggregated usage and stability information. They never receive your health answers.
  • Reloom Premium is bought, billed and cancelled inside the App Store or Google Play. We never see your card details, and the check that tells the app whether a subscription is active carries no health information and no name.
  • We do not show ads, and we do not sell or share personal data with data brokers.

What stays on your device

All of the following is written to local storage on your phone. It is not uploaded, and it is not what the anonymous usage events described in the next section carry:

  • Your onboarding answers, including anything you tell the app about tension, sitting time, sleep, activity level, age and gender.
  • The optional first name you may enter on the last onboarding screen.
  • Your generated plan, current program and day, completed sessions, durations, skipped steps and difficulty ratings.
  • Your routines, streaks, rewards, reminder settings and app preferences.
  • Any text you write in the quit survey or the feedback form. The feedback sheet copies your message to the clipboard so that you can paste it into an email and send it yourself if you want to; the app itself sends nothing.

Those usage events can note that something happened — a setup step was answered, a session was finished, a routine was added, a reminder was turned on, a streak reached seven days — using the app's own content ids, counters and durations. They never carry an answer you gave, how you rated a session, the time you set your reminder for, your name, or anything you typed.

If you delete Reloom, this data is deleted with it. If you back up your device to iCloud or to Google, the backup is made and encrypted by Apple or Google under their own policies; we have no access to it.

What the app sends to Firebase

Reloom includes Google Firebase, provided by Google. Three products are enabled:

Firebase Analytics records anonymous usage events so we can see which parts of the app work and which do not — for example that an onboarding step was viewed, a session was started or completed, a routine was added, or a reminder was enabled. Events carry non-identifying parameters such as a step id, a session id, a program id or a duration. Analytics also collects standard technical information: an app instance identifier, device model, operating system version, app version, language and coarse country-level location derived from the IP address. Reloom does not use the Apple advertising identifier (IDFA) and does not ask for tracking permission, because it does not track you across other apps or websites.

Firebase Crashlytics collects a report when the app crashes or throws an unhandled error: the stack trace, the device model, the operating system version, the app version and a randomly generated installation identifier, plus a small amount of context we attach ourselves — the current program id, day number, session id or onboarding step. These are content labels, not answers you gave.

Firebase Remote Config downloads a small set of configuration values (feature flags, default session length, default reminder time) so we can adjust the app without shipping an update. The request sends the app instance identifier and basic device information.

Your health-related answers are never sent to Firebase, to us, or to anyone else. Analytics records that a step was answered; it does not carry your onboarding answers as event content, and no free text you type in the app is ever transmitted automatically.

Google processes this information as our service provider. You can read Google's practices at https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy and https://policies.google.com/privacy.

If you subscribe

Reloom Premium is bought and billed inside the App Store or Google Play. The payment itself never touches this app: there is no card form in Reloom, we never see or store your card number, your billing address or your store account name, and Apple and Google handle that information under their own privacy policies.

To know whether a subscription is active, the app uses RevenueCat, Inc., which acts as our service provider for that one job. Precisely what that involves:

  • When the plans screen opens, when you buy or restore, and when the app re-checks in the background, the RevenueCat SDK sends the store receipt issued by Apple or Google for the purchase, together with technical information about the installation: the app version, the platform and operating system version, the device model, the store country, and the IP address the request comes from.
  • Because Reloom has no accounts, the SDK generates a random, anonymous app user id for the installation and uses that instead of an identity. It is not your name, your email address or your store account, and it is not linked to anything you have told the app.
  • RevenueCat answers with whether the premium entitlement is active, which product it came from, when it expires or renews, and whether a free trial is running.
  • RevenueCat never receives your onboarding answers, your plan, your sessions, your streak, your notes, or the first name you may have entered. Nothing in the "What stays on your device" list above leaves the device, whether you subscribe or not.

The app then caches that answer on your phone so it can be read the moment you open Reloom, without waiting on the network: whether Premium is active, the product id, the expiry or renewal date, whether a trial is running, which store it came from, and when the store last confirmed it. That is the whole of the subscription information stored on your device. It contains no receipt, no transaction id and no payment detail.

RevenueCat's privacy practices are at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy. The payment itself is covered by https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy and https://policies.google.com/privacy.

What Reloom never does

  • No account, no sign-in, no cloud profile.
  • No advertising, ad networks or advertising identifiers.
  • No sale of personal information, and no sharing with data brokers.
  • No microphone, camera, contacts, photo library or precise location access.
  • No health data read from or written to Apple Health or Google Fit.
  • No network connection is required to exercise. The daily sessions, the player, your plan, your history and your reminders all work fully offline. Only buying a subscription, restoring one, and re-checking it with the store need a connection — offline, the app simply trusts the last answer the store gave it.

Notifications

Daily reminders and streak nudges are local notifications, scheduled by your device. They are not push messages, no server is involved, and nothing about them leaves your phone. You can turn them off in the app, or in your device settings, at any time.

Your choices and your data

  • Reset all progress (Settings → Danger zone) clears your plan, routines, progress and onboarding answers, and returns the app to its first-run state.
  • Erase all data on this device (Settings → Danger zone) removes everything Reloom has stored locally and resets the anonymous analytics identifier, so nothing collected afterwards can be linked to anything collected before it. One deliberate exception: if a subscription is active, the cached note that it is active is written back afterwards — erasing your data must not take away access you are paying for.
  • Managing or cancelling a subscription happens in your App Store or Google Play account, not in Reloom. We cannot start, stop or refund one for you.
  • Deleting the app removes all local data.
  • Because we hold no account and no server-side copy of what you put into Reloom, we cannot look up, export or delete your answers, your plan or your history on your behalf — you already hold all of it.
  • The one record kept off your device is the purchase record held by RevenueCat and by the stores. It is attached to the anonymous installation id and to your App Store or Google Play account, not to a Reloom identity. Write to us if you want the RevenueCat record deleted and we will ask them to delete it; the store's own record of a purchase is Apple's or Google's to keep.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over personal data under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA. Those rights apply to the limited technical information described above; write to us at the address below and we will help as far as the anonymous nature of that data allows.

Children

Reloom is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13 (or under the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has used the app and you would like it removed from the device, delete the app; if you have a question about this, contact us.

Not medical advice

Reloom provides general exercise and mobility content for healthy adults. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it is not a substitute for care from a qualified professional. If you have pain, an injury, a medical condition, or you are pregnant or recovering from surgery, speak to a doctor or physiotherapist before starting. Stop any exercise that causes pain, dizziness or numbness, and seek medical help if symptoms persist.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version ships with a new release of the app and the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will also be noted in the release notes.
